About Us

Welcome to The Chubby Farmer! 

We live on a 3rd generation breeder turkey farm north of Riverton, Manitoba. Eric's Grandpa Leonard started the farm in 1952, and we are honoured to continue the legacy.

Lindsey has been an RVT since 2006, and has a passion for our pets health and wellness! 

We have 3 kids, 5 dogs, 3 cats & 2 guinea pigs and a pony (the last 3 aren't pictured). 

Eric started The Chubby Farmer Youtube channel after posting his delicious meals on social media and getting feedback of people wishing they could cook like that! He thinks it's easy, fun and anyone can do it! 

Lindsey thought up the freeze dried pet treats one day while shopping for treats for a litter of Goldens she was raising with the Puppy Culture method. Why buy so many treats when we have so much meat accessible on our farm, much of it going to waste?!? As a breeder farm, our main product is fertilized eggs. Meat processors don't like taking mature birds (they are too large and too old to roasting turkeys), forcing us to dispose of them on our own. It is a travesty to have so much good meat go to waste! 

The pet treats are thoroughly tested by our 3 Goldens, 2 Chihuahuas and 3 cats. They are all obsessed. So much so, we have to keep them under lock and key. The cats especially love sneaking the packages whole and tearing them open downstairs to feast.
